She's Home

After a long day of waiting for the doctor, my Mom finally got the ok to go home. She was MORE than ready to leave her room, come home and sleep in her own bed and eat some good food. She will be getting waited on hand and foot and can't wait to catch up on her Tivo shows. The nursing staff were so wonderful at the hospital, they took excellent care of my Mom and spent quite a bit of time visiting with the 4 of us in her room. I think they appreciated having such an easy patient! Her physical therapist told me the whole surgical floor was talking about how quickly she was recovering. It is a huge relief for our family to have her back at home, we are all going to sleep a lot better tonight. God blessed our Mom this week for her surgery and we pray He will continue to watch over her during her recovery and while we wait for the results from her tumor biopsy.

I know I'm going to listen a little more closely to my symptoms from now on. Can't wait for more photos and updates. Thanks to Tannis for this blog it really keeps us all in touch.

  9. Dear, Dear Tricia,

I had no idea, my dear, that you were going through all this-I'm so sorry! But of course, with your usual flair and joie de vivre (that's just plain joy!) you are walking right through it. What a wonderful and supportive family you have-I'm not surprised, but am so grateful, to hear they are able to be by your side as you get your strength back (and your own nurse, too!). Ditto Nancy's comment above: you are a very dear and important friend, and you're in my heart, thoughts, and prayers. Take care-and love to Jim and the girls who are doing such a beautiful of caring for you and letting others know how it's going.
    Love you,
    Laurie

  12. Trish,
I just have to say you look marvelous darlin! Only spirited you could make this very serious condition seem like a walk in the park. Because of the positive life you have led you will conquer this like a champ. You have been a true inspiration for many years, when our kids were young you never sweat the small stuff and after viewing these pics you certainly aren't sweating the big stuff either. My prayers go out to you, Jim and the girls Miss ya kiddo
